Three kosher meals daily are easily accessible through the Kosher Kitchen, which is under the supervision of the Orthodox Union and run by Sodexo, the catering provider for all on-campus dining establishments and events. There is very limited availability of kosher foods in other dining halls in the form of pre-packaged sandwiches. Chabad runs a kosher pizzeria on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and a deli on Tuesday nights. OU-JLICAcademic Life

Kosher Food/Meals
Students can select a kosher meal plan through the university's dining services at no extra cost. "Green World" in the Colonnades dining hall provides vegan and vegetarian meals prepared with pots and pans used only for vegan and vegetarian foods, and paper plates and disposable cutlery are available. The kitchen and dining room are not under rabbinic supervision but dining services has collaborated with Hillel staff and Rabbi Geoffrey Claussen to review ingredients, recipes, and food preparation to stay in line with kosher practices. The Sklut Hillel Center has a clear separation between meat and dairy—it's main kitchen is only dairy and the outside grill is used to prepare meat. Students are welcome to prepare meals and eat in the Hillel Center, and Hillel provides free kosher food for students to prepare and eat throughout the year. Chabad offers Friday night dinners every Shabbat.Academic Life

Hillel provides free kosher Shabbat dinner every week, Shabbat lunch once a month and holiday dinners. Students who keep strictly kosher are also able to opt-in to special “kosher-suites” for their first-year housing, and some students purchase supplemental meal plans at the University of Pennsylvania (located a few blocks away).
